Welsh food and drink producers looking to take a bite out of the food-to-go market will be making their debut this week at Lunch 2009 (October 1 -2). It will be the first time the ‘Wales the True Taste’ stand has appeared at the event, which will be held at Old Billingsgate on the banks of the River Thames in London.

Television and Radio Presenter to compere the Wales the True Taste Awards 2009
Wales the True Taste is proud to announce that Welsh award-winning BBC TV and radio presenter, Sarah Dickins, will host this year’s Wales the True Taste Food & Drink Awards. The awards ceremony, regarded as the 'Oscars' of the Welsh food industry, will be held on 19 November 2009 and, for the very first time it will take place in Abergavenny, host to one of the most popular food festivals in Wales.
Great British Cheese Festival is King of Cardiff Castle
Wales plays host this weekend (September 26/27) to the UK’s premier cheese event, the Great British Cheese Festival. For the second year running the venue will be the grounds of the 2,000 year-old Cardiff Castle, which wowed exhibitors and visitors alike at last year’s Welsh Assembly Government supported Festival.
Tesco Customers Get a True Taste of Wales During British Food Fortnight
Shoppers are in for a treat during British Food Fortnight (19 September – 4 October) as the Wales the True Taste Trailer brings award-winning food and tasty tips to shoppers at Tesco stores across Wales. The Welsh Assembly Government owned mobile demonstration unit – which will visit seven locations - features a host of winning products from the Wales the True Taste Food and Drink Awards and which are available in Tesco stores.

A great taste of Wales has arrived in the USA as Collier’s Powerful Welsh Cheddar becomes available stateside for the very first time.
It has been likened to the Cannes festival of the food world, and once again food lovers will be spoilt for choice at the Abergavenny Food Festival (19/20 September). The annual event attracts thousands of visitors who come to taste and buy an array of food and drink as well as watch top chefs in action and take part in discussions about the food industry.
