Entries open for 09/10 Awards!

Bryn who is Chef Patron of Odette’s restaurant in London’s Primrose Hill, is a firm advocate of home grown produce using as much Welsh ingredients as possible at his restaurant.

He said, “I am delighted to endorse the True Taste Awards as I am a great believer in using British produce, and particular produce from my native Wales, wherever possible. I already use many True Taste Award winning products in my restaurant and I am proud to shout about good quality local Welsh ingredients.”

Previous winners have been drawn from across Wales and all sectors of the food and drink industry from single producers to co-operatives, small and medium enterprises and large household names. Restaurants and retailers, farmers markets and local authorities, have all had their achievements highlighted by the awards.

Said Rural Affairs Minister, Elin Jones, “Year on year the True Taste Awards have grown in popularity and stature. The awards have succeeded in emphasising Wales as a producer of high quality and innovative produce and are recognised by consumers and the food and drink industry as a sign of excellence.

“I am sure the 2009/10 True Taste awards will build upon the success of previous years and I hope Wales’ food and drink producers will take the opportunity to enter. By so doing they will give their products - and Wales as a whole - the culinary platform they deserve.”
