Hawarden heralds launch
Hawarden heralds the launch of the Wales the True Taste Food & Drink Awards. The search for culinary excellence is on with the regional launch in Hawarden today (May 5th) of the Wales the True Taste Food & Drink Awards 2009/10.
The Welsh Assembly Government managed awards are regarded as the ‘Oscars’ of the Welsh food and drink industry, and this year’s awards feature a number of new and exciting developments including, a new Export Achievement Category, and Truetaste.tv - a website and webchannel dedicated to the awards.
Past winners, stakeholders and organisations connected with the annual True Taste Awards gathered at Hawarden Estate Farm Shop, Flintshire as part of a series of regional launches across Wales, which started on May 1st in Abergavenny.
Hawarden Estate Farm Shop won the True Taste Retailer of the Year at last year’s awards.
At the event guests viewed the new website and webchannel - which is now live - and is packed with information about this year’s and previous awards.
Via the webchannel they heard interviews with Rural Affairs Minister Elin Jones and A-list Welsh chef Bryn Williams who has been signed by the Welsh Assembly Government as the ‘face’ of the awards.
